The former NBA player’s condition improved during the past few weeks, enough to convince doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles that he is ready to begin a new phase of treatment and recuperation.
Odom was rushed to a Nevada hospital after being found unresponsive at the Love Ranch, a legal brothel in Crystal, Nev., following a three-day binge including use of cocaine and sexual performance enhancement substances on Oct. 13.On Friday, US Weekly reported that Odom had left Cedars-Sinai and been “secretly moved” by his estranged wife, reality TV star Khloe Kardashian, to the rehab clinic at an undisclosed L.A. location.
The 36-year-old, a two-time NBA champion with the Lakers and a former Sixth Man of the Year, spent most of his time at Cedars-Sinai in the facility’s high security wing, reserved for celebrity patients.
